We saw the potential in plantains—an underutilized crop in East Africa—and decided to elevate it into a staple that could nourish people and empower communities. Today, while our focus is on delivering fresh plantains, we are preparing to introduce value-added products like plantain chips and flour in the near future.

Outgrower Program

Alloco’s Outgrower Program is designed to empower small-scale farmers by providing access to high-quality seedlings, training in sustainable farming practices, and guaranteed market access. Although our program is less than a year old, we are committed to ensuring its success, with our first harvest expected in early 2025.
